You pay TWICE for hot water to wash-first to buy it then heat it! There are many small ways you can conserve hot water with little change in your life. Turn down or off the faucet when scrubbing not rinsing. Modern dishwashers do a good job- rinse-don't hand wash your dishes first. Don't set your hot water too high Clean dust on your radiators that blocks easy air flow or change furnace air filters often. Cover the pipes to your faucets and radiators with insulating sleeves from home suppliers. If you have separate water heater wrap it with an insulating blanket. |
